Thank you Emil Boards for this "Back to the Future" Square Skateboard
Posted on
Very happy with this gift from the guys at Emil Boards.
This square table is born from the inspiration of a group of friends from Munich-Germany , after seeing the first part of the movie "Back to the Future". You will all remember when Marty McFly , being chased by Biff and his friends, snatches a box with wheels from some children, takes away the "box" and is left with a kind of square skate with which he manages to avoid the "bad guys" .
And now that we have tried it and thanks to its Randall trucks, we can say first that it works very well and second that it does fit into the Surfskate mode as its developers sell it.
Coming from the world of skateboarding and surfing , the guys at Emil Boards , after making several prototypes since 2013, have released the final product last year and this is the result.
A beauty of Surfskate with 8 sheets of Maple wood that achieve a robust and flexible board at the same time. At the moment they only have it in the color " Vanilla" , which is Maple in its purest form, or "Chocolate" which is the same painted Maple. They come with 150mm Randall trucks, These Urethane wheels and Mini-logo bearings . This particular model is called " Doc Brown ", referring to Emmet Brown , the popular " Doc " from "Back to the Future".
The guys at Emil Boards take care of even the smallest detail, the board that they have sent us for testing even has the name of our Club carved by hand. (You can see it in the next photo). It really made us very excited to receive it.
the boys from Emil Boards , apart from that, have the intention of launching different lines with the same board format but customized by Graphic designers avant-garde. In its first edition they have had the collaboration of the well-known designer GABE who has developed specific designs to stamp both on the skateboards as in t-shirts, posters and stickers.
This Sunday the 15th, in our stay you can be the first Madrid in tasting this wonder of Surfskate . You can also this super cool video that they have made for the launch so that you can sweeten up.
